Fashion Photograph by Gabor Jurina

This exhibition offers a unique glimpse into Hungarian perspectives, with a focus on two artists in particular who are descendants of the Peter family from the area of Devecser, Hungary.

Barbara Majthenyi is an accomplished oil painter who studied art in Budapest, Hungary. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in Budapest in 1951. In the years that followed she worked as a commercial artist and also created several oil paintings. Her extensive works have been exhibited worldwide.

Also featured in this show is Gabor Jurina, a well-known Canadian fashion photographer. A graduate of Ryerson University, Gabor has been pursuing his passion for fashion photography. He has won several awards for his work and has received acclaim from the likes of Jeanne Beker, Canada’s premier fashion journalist. Gabor is a regular contributor to Fashion Magazine and has appeared inside the confines of magazines such as Oprah, Surface, Esquire, Vogue Mexico and Vogue Nippon.

The works of these two artists, combined with additional Hungarian pieces, offer a delightful contrasting collection that spans over five decades. Please join us in viewing this collection of artwork.
