Be sure to join us for a wonderful evening of classical guitar performed by the award-winning guitarist, Jorge Lopez!

A proud son of Mexico City, Jorge has spent his life studying and mastering the guitar. He inherited his love of the classical guitar from his father Gustavo Lopez, who was a student and assistant of the greatest guitarist of all times, Andres Segovia. Jorge prides himself on his clean and crisp style of articulation on the guitar.

Since making Toronto a permanent home, Jorge Lopez has explored all aspects of his wide ranged talent and has founded several musical groups varying in styles and tastes but always remaining true to his predominant guitar voicing and stylish sound.

Jorge has gained much recognition in the Canadian music scene, He was awarded The Spanish Heritage award by the City of Toronto, has appeared on CBC radio, City TV’s Breakfast Television, and the Toronto Show on the Global Television Network. In 2014 Mr. Lopez toured China, performing in 5 cities with sold out shows. Jorge received an award Othli, from the Government of Mexico, for promoting and keeping the traditional music of Mexico in Canada.
