Edgemere Promenade

The LOST Race is one of Canada’s premier open water events.

It’s a fun and competitive 3.8 km (Ironman distance) race in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Now the top spot for open water racing in Lake Ontario, the LOST Race began in 2008 with just 8 swimmers and has now grown to over 200 swimmers each year!

The route is very scenic, safe and fun.

The majority of participants are just regular swimmers that are up for a good challenge, but over the years there’s also been some pretty amazing swimmers compete too. There’s been tons of triathletes (Ironman especially), NCAA and Canadian Varsity swimmers, Olympians, people who have swum the English Channel, and countless other marathon swims and of course even a select few who have swum across Lake Ontario!

So join us for an epic morning racing and splashing around in one of the best open water locations in the world.

Starting in 2016 we also started “The LOST Mile”! A bit shorter for those that haven’t worked up to the 3.8 km distance or a bit faster for those that want to do a 1 mile sprint! Either way it is a lot of fun too!

For a 2nd year in a row we are proud to host the Masters Swimming Canada Open Water National Championships! You don’t have to be a masters swimmer to be a part of the LOST Race but we will also be recognizing winners of the Masters event in conjunction with the LOST Race & LOST Mile!

The race starts at Maple Grove Drive & Lake Ontario – Edgemere Promenade to Lakeside Park.
