Missed going to TIFF? Don’t worry! Join us for Monday Night at the Movies, Oakville’s only international film series. Working in partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and Film Circuit, we bring you the best of Canadian and international films that might not otherwise be available in our community.

Films screen at 7:30 p.m. at the Winston Churchill Cineplex cinemas, usually every other Monday from September to April. Check the website for dates and titles.

Tickets are just $10 at the door. Cash only.

THIS WEEK CATCH TONI ERDMANN (Germany, Austria) with one of the most talked-about films at this year’s Cannes Festival. This new film from Maren Ade (The Forest for the Trees, Everyone Else) is an alternately hilarious and mortifying comedy about the fraught relationship between a repressed corporate consultant and her incessantly prank-playing dad.

Monday Night at the Movies is an independent, not-for-profit film series that works in partnership with Film Circuit, a division of TIFF. Films are screened on select Mondays at 7:30 p.m. at the Cineplex Cinemas Winston Churchill. Tickets can be purchased beginning at 6:45 p.m. the night of the screening in the lobby of the theatre for $10.00 each, cash only.
