Oakville Celebrates National Youth Week – May 1 – 7.

Every year Oakville celebrates youth during Youth Week! This year, Youth Week will take place between May 1 to 7, with free activities, learning opportunities and events for all to enjoy. Youth Week events are open to youth between 11 to 19 years of age.

Youth can enjoy free access to all drop-in youth programs, open houses at all Oakville Youth Centres, creative activities with the Oakville Public Libraries and so much more!

The 2017 Youth Week line-up of free programming and events is now posted on their website!

Daily youth activities also include:
Monday, May 1
Open houses at all youth centres 3-8 p.m.
Police vs Youth Basketball Game at Glen Abbey Community Centre, 4-7 p.m.

Tuesday, May 2
T.A.C.O. Tuesday (Totally Awesome Career Opportunities) at Quen Elizabeth Park Cultural and Community Centre, Black Box Theatre, 5-8 p.m.
SAVIS Presents “Toxic Media” at the Bronte Youth Centre 4-5 p.m.

Wednesday, May 3
SAVIS Presents “Toxic Media” at the Nottinghill Youth Centre, 4-5 p.m.
Teen Green Screen at Woodside Branch Library, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 4
Archery at Joshua’s Creek Arenas 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Friday, May 5
Camp Fire Night at the YMCA of Oakville, 7:30-9:30 p.m.
DJ Recreational Skare at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, 8-9:30 p.m.
Bubble Soccer at River Oak Community Centre, 8-9 p.m.

Saturday, May 6
Beach Party at White Oaks Pool, 2:30-4 p.m.
Oakville Talent Starz, Queen Elizabeth Park Cultural and Community Centre, Black Box Theatre, 7-10 p.m.

Sunday, May 7
Skateboarding at Kinoak Indoor Skateboard Park, noon-7 p.m.

Oakville Youth Centres will provide bus tickets to all events. Please stop in at an Oakville Youth Centre before the event for directions and information on bus routes.
