Join us February 22, 2020 for The Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY), a family-friendly, winter fundraising walk to support Oakville’s hungry, hurting and homeless.

We all love to hate winter, but imagine what it would be like without support, food, or a warm place to welcome you home: nothing short of brutal. In hundreds of cities all across Canada, thousands of participants will walk together in the chill of the night to experience just a hint of what it’s like to be on the streets during a cold winter’s night, while raising funds to aid the work of partner charities like Links2Care who bring hope and help to our community’s most vulnerable.

Our CNOY walk begins and ends at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre, located at 2302 Bridge Road, Oakville. Between 4 and 8 pm, participants will register, turn in their fundraising efforts, don iconic CNOY toques and walk – warming up at rest stops along the way with toasty drinks. Unlike many of our clients, everyone can come safely inside at the end of the evening for a light celebration meal.

Links2Care has been serving Oakville for over 14 years (and many years before that as Halton Helping Hands), and the funds raised in the Coldest Night of the Year will benefit their clients in a time of the year known historically for high needs and low levels of giving.

We hope you will join us to raise awareness about the growing struggles of more and more people even in our safe, comfortable, suburban community. Please visit www.cnoy.org/oakville to DONATE, WALK, SPONSOR or SHARE.
