Join us for the feature readings of Jason Freure and Jerry Levy.

Jason Freure is the editor of The Town Crier blog and operations manager at The Puritan, where he’s worn many hats, including reader, blog columnist, editor, and more since 2013. Everybody Rides the Bus in a City of Losers is set to be his debut book of poetry.

ECW Press plans to release it into the world in Fall 2018.

Otherwise, you can find his work online and in print in magazines like Maisonneuve, CNQ, Vallum, or Carte Blanche, not to mention top-notch little magazines like (parenthetical) and The Hart House Review.

Jerry Levy’s short stories have appeared in literary magazines and anthologies throughout Canada, the US, and the UK, including The Nashwaak Review, The Flaneur, Lowestoft Chronicle, and Pilot Pocket Book. He lives in Toronto, Ontario.

After the features, there will be an open mic for all poets and authors in attendance. Parking is free at Joshua Creek. Refreshments are also provided. Bring your books to sell at our book table. This is an excellent opportunity to network with other writers and to present your work in the beautiful, art gallery ambiance and natural surroundings of Joshua Creek Art Centre.
