Join us as we launch the Official Plan Review at a special public meeting, part of Planning and Development Council, on May 11, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road.

What is an official plan?

An official plan is a policy document that guides land use, development and growth within a municipality. Every five years it needs to be reviewed as required by the Planning Act.

The Town of Oakville’s official plan is comprised of the Livable Oakville Plan (lands south of Dundas Street and north of Highway 407) as well as the North Oakville East and West Secondary Plans (lands north of Dundas Street and south of Highway 407).

The objective of the official plan review is to see what is working and what could be improved.

How can you get involved?

Take this opportunity to learn more about the current official plan. Send us an email to let us know what you like about the plan and what you think could be improved. You’re also invited to share your ideas at the special public meeting.

Continue to look for emails with updates, reports and details on future public events and engagement opportunities.

If you have questions or want to know more, please contact us at plan@oakville.ca and visit oakville.ca for details.
