Ward 2 Councilors Cathy Duddeck and I invite Oakville residents to join us on Family Day, February 16th, for our annual free family skate at Oakville Arena, 133 Rebecca Street from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

Along with enjoying a free skate at Oakville’s oldest arena, there will be complementary popcorn from Cinemas and delicious hot chocolate courtesy of Tim Hortons, 49 Lakeshore Road West.

Drop off gently used children’s skates for a skate drive organized by Jack Mogus and Change by YOUth. These skates will be sent to children and youth in the Nishnawbe Aski Nation.

Donations of non-perishable food items will also be accepted for Kerr Street Ministries.

All are welcome. Capacity restrictions in effect. Pucks, hockey sticks and equipment prohibited. Helmets recommended.
