On May 21st and May 31, 2019 two break and enters occurred at residences in Oakville. One of the residences was under construction and the other was being renovated. A Kitchener Contractor was hired to complete work in both residences.  

After being confronted regarding deadlines and work, the contractor broke into the homes stealing tools and other items.

On Wednesday June 5, 2019, a 30 year-old man from Kitchener was arrested and charged.

Charges faced by Kitchener Contractor:

  1. counts of break and enter (2 counts)
  2. commit theft
  3. failure to comply with probation order (4 counts)

The 30 year-old man was held for a bail hearing.

Halton Regional Police believe there may be other occurrences involving this Kitchner Contractor. They are asking anyone with information regarding similar incidents to contact Detective Constable Shane Glenfield of the 2 District Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-825-4747, ext. 2263.
