According to figures released today by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of sales declined 5.1 per cent in January compared to the same period in 2013. Monthly sales totaled 406 compared to 428 in January 2013.
“All property sales and the number of new property listings fell short of last year’s results,” said Jack McCrudden, President of OMDREB. “Residential median sale prices remained strong in Oakville and particularly in Milton, which experienced a strong increase.”
The dollar volume of all sales processed through the OMDREB MLS® system increased in January 2014 to $193,209,408 from $193,090,724 in January 2013– an increase of 0.1 percent.
Oakville’s median sale price for the month of January was $635,050, an increase of 5.8 per cent compared to January 2013.
