West River is bounded by the following to the North and East is the 16 Mile Creek, to the south isRebecca, and to the West is Kerr Street. There are several parks: the largest is Forester Park which has a children's playground, basketball court as well as a tennis court. In the winter the residents association get together to create an out-door rink. The closest shopping area is Kerr Street Village which has a multitude of shops, cafes and restaurants. On Saturdays, Summer through Fall there is a local farmers market. The vast majority of the houses are 26 to 60 yrs of age, and the properties are primarily owned and occupied by the single families. The area is heavily treed, and most homes are on properties that have a frontage in excess of 50 feet.
