A special ceremony was held here in Oakville this past weekend, with 44 residents being presented the King Charles III Coronation Medal for their significant services and contributions made to the Oakville community.
During the ceremony this past Sunday, February 23, 2025, Oakville MP Anita Anand awarded King Charles III Coronation Medal to 44 members of the Oakville.
Locals were asked nominate someone who they personally felt had made a powerful impact to the community, or someone who made an incredible achievement abroad that brings credit to our country. In total, mearly 100 members of the Oakville community were nominated.
When addressing the audience at the start of the ceremony, MP Anand took time to thank all award recipients for their contributions to the Oakville.
"I am privileged to be able to celebrate the awarding of these medals with you this afternoon," said Anand, "and to recognize your incredible service to our community."
