All schools and offices in both the Halton District School Board (HDSB) and Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) are closed today, Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025.
The announcements were made early this morning following last night's heavy snowfall, collecting over 20cm of snow in Oakville over the last 24 hours.
"All Halton District School Board schools and workplaces are closed and transportation is cancelled for all Halton District School Board students," says the HDSB release.
"All HCDSB schools and offices are closed due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions," says the HCDSB statement.
In addition, the HCDSB's "Ready, Set, Go!" Kindergarten information session scheduled tonight at St. Matthew Catholic Elementary School is POSTPONED.
Classes are expected to resume tomorrow, Feb. 14, ahead of the upcoming Family Day weekend.
