Halton Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly pulled a knife out after and stealing a vehicle in an Oakville shopping plaza parking lot.

Police say the robbery took place on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024 at around 11:55 p.m near Dundas Street West and Hampshire Gate, close to the shopping plazas at the Mississauga border.

During that time, a person left an unspecified restaurant, went outside to start their car and then returned to the restaurant. The suspect then allegedly approached the car and pulled out a knife after a third party approached them to stop stealing the vehicle.

The third party retreated from the suspect and went inside the restaurant to notify the car owner, police say, with the suspect leaving the scene in the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Police say the suspect is described as male, six feet tall, with a thin build, approximately 30 years old and wearing dark clothing.
