Central Branch closed Monday due to a water-related issue

The Oakville Public Library Central Branch will remain closed today, Monday, due to an unspecified "water-related issue."

Please note that the Central Branch's Water Street book return is temporarily unavailable. Please use the Navy Street book return instead.

The building has been closed since Saturday morning when the issue arose.

The related issue was caused when a water main burst outside of the branch.

This unfortunate accident required the water to be turned off in the building.

Halton Region is currently monitoring the situation and anticipates to repair the damages on Monday.

Once the repairs have begun, Central Branch will have a better idea of when they can re-open.

But as of right now, the Branch does not know when they can open their doors to the public.
