The conference will be held at Halton Regional Police headquarters.

Halton Black History Awareness Society (HBHAS) is holding a Cultural Dynamics Leadership Training (CDLT) program.

The workshop takes place Friday, Jan. 31, at Halton Region Police Services headquarters, 2485 North Service Rd. W. Oakville.

The CDLT program is designed specifically for educators to equip people with innovative teaching techniques and resources that promote inclusive and supportive learning environments.

As Ontario prepares to elevate Black history in the curriculum starting in September, it's vital for educators to embrace cultural mentorship and enhance their teaching strategies. With Halton's remarkable growth in visible minority populations, schools are the perfect starting point for fostering inclusivity, equality, and appreciation for diverse cultures.

Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis, and closes on Thursday, Jan. 23, 4 p.m., or when the workshop reaches capacity.
