Halton Region has arranged for enhanced bulk brush collection to assist residents with clean-up from last week’s storm. Until August 10, residents in areas of Halton where yard waste is regularly collected can set out one pile of unbundled bulk brush on their regular yard waste collection day. The Region’s yard waste collection trucks will be working extended hours into the evening to facilitate picking up the bulk brush.
“Halton Region works hard to ensure we are prepared to respond in the event of an emergency,” said Regional Chair Gary Carr. “Waste collection is an important service we offer, so we are working with our partners at the Town of Oakville to help residents manage the clean-up of the additional bulk brush caused by the storm.”
Due to the recent storm, Halton Region is providing enhanced services to residents until August 10, 2013. Residents in Oakville may place bulk brush out on their regular yard waste collection day. Oakville residents do not need to call in to schedule bulk brush collection.
