Downtown Oakville is set to celebrate National Ice Cream Day with a sweet surprise for the community. On July 21, 2024, in partnership with Il Gelato Di Carlotta, the first 500 visitors to Towne Square will receive free ice cream.

To mark the occasion, Towne Square will be transformed into a charming pop-up parlour reminiscent of old-fashioned ice cream socials. Ice cream carts will be set up, complete with bistro tables and chairs for a cool, retro vibe. Additionally, a giant ice cream photo prop will be on display, providing a perfect backdrop for memorable photos.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Il Gelato Di Carlotta for this fun and delicious event,” said Adrienne Gordon, Executive Director of the Downtown Oakville BIA.

“National Ice Cream Day is a great opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a sweet treat, and celebrate summer in Downtown Oakville.”

The event will begin at 12 p.m., and ice cream will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies last. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure their free ice cream and to participate in the festivities.
