About 1,000 people came together last night at Westwood Park to celebrate the opening of Oakville's eighth annual Kerrfest.
With live music, food vendors, and a fully loaded concert setup, it was a fantastic way for residents to kick off the fall season.
"Kerrfest has always been about putting something on for the community, bringing people together, and raising awareness for the Kerr Village BIA," said Doug Sams, Executive Director of the Kerr Village BIA.
"My favourite part every year is seeing people enjoy the music. And on Sunday, it's seeing the kids happy and the families enjoying Kerrfest Kids."
Friday night's lineup featured a mix of Canadian rock legends.
Teenage Head opened the show, energizing the crowd as the audience continued to grow. As the sun set, Haywire took the stage, keeping the momentum going with a powerful performance that had the crowd singing along to their hits.
David Wilcox headlined the night, and his performance did not disappoint. Some fans in the audience said that he "sounded just like he did 30 years ago."
