The New Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital was designed for you, and we want to make that experience as easy as possible. We know that you have lots of questions. You'll find some really important points for you to know about your new hospital.
Where do I go once I arrive at the new hospital?
Upon arrival at the new hospital, visitors have available almost 2,000 parking spaces in the five surface parking lots and six-level parking garage including:
- 114 accessible parking spots
- Designated signed spaces for dialysis and cancer clinic patients on level two
- 64 hybrid vehicle parking spaces on levels one, two and three
- Short term parking for heart function clinic patients is adjacent to the West entrance
Lot 2 has a pay and display option and all other lots, including the parking garage, have gated entrances, which require a ticket be taken upon arrival and paid at a pay station before leaving. Bring your parking ticket with you into the hospital.
Daily, weekly and monthly parking passes and new, affordably priced packages can be purchased at the information desk in the main lobby. There are enclosed walkways from the garage to the hospital on levels one and two.
Our building was designed with entrances at the north, south, east and west with adjacent parking spaces to provide visitors with convenient access to services and appointments. Wheelchairs are available at each entrance.
Once inside the building, comprehensive wayfinding will assist visitor and patients with locating the destination including volunteers at each entrance, information desks, and printed, touchscreen, and ‘you are here’ maps located throughout.

Emergency Department Changes
On December 13 at 6 a.m., hospital services and the emergency department at the legacy Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) at 327 Reynolds Street will permanently close.
On December 13 at 6 a.m., the emergency department at the new OTMH at 3001 Hospital Gate will open.
We expect to see higher than average patient visits in the new emergency department after it opens. This may impact patient wait times. Additional staff will be scheduled to assist with patient volumes.
To assist with safely moving our patients, managing volumes and delivering care to the sickest patients on December 13, the community is encouraged to seek care for non-life-threatening illness or injury from their family doctor, a walk-in clinic, or call Telehealth at 1.866.797.0000.
