Over 530 athletes from across Halton gathered Friday morning (June 14) for the Special Athletics Track Meet at Garth Webb Secondary School in Oakville.
The 37th annual Halton District School Board (HDSB) event for athletes with physical and developmental challenges brought together youths, coaches, family members and volunteers for a morning of track competition and fun activities on the field.
The track meet began in 1987 with just 12 athletes and has grown each year.
