Iroquois Ridge High School presents: "Caution: Wet Paint" annual art show

Admission to the show is free for everyone. Attendees can also witness live painting by Grade 11 and 12 students and watch a music recital in the theatre at 7 p.m.

Iroquois Ridge High School (IRHS) has announced its annual fine arts show, "Caution: Wet Paint," set for this Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the school's cafeteria.

The event will showcase artwork from students across all grades, with many pieces from the Visual Art and Design Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program.

Visitors will enjoy a diverse collection of artwork, including sculptures, paintings, prints, and mixed media pieces. The graduating class will feature their own special sections that reflect their unique talents and creative journeys.

"This provides a rare opportunity to witness the evolution and diversity of artistic expression among the graduating students," said Vanessa Ives, Visual Art and SHSM Lead Teacher at IRHS.

"Adding to the excitement, two student-run businesses, Feltadorables and Diddy Shop, will be featured at the event. Feltadorables offers charming felted animals, while Diddy Shop presents exquisite crocheted pieces. Both businesses will accept cash or e-transfers, providing attendees with the chance to support budding entrepreneurs while admiring exceptional craftsmanship"

Admission to the show is free for everyone. Attendees can also witness live painting by Grade 11 and 12 students and watch a music recital in the theatre at 7 p.m.

Neighbours, friends, and families are all welcome to come celebrate the skills and talents of the Ridge art students!
