Volunteer Halton invites area residents to do just that, with nominations now being accepted for this year’s Cheer to Volunteers and the Heather Thompson Volunteer Excellence awards.
Click here for awards criteria, and send your submissions here. The deadline for entry is 3 p.m. Mar. 24. Three nominees from each Halton community – Milton, Halton Hills, Oakville and Burlington – will be selected for recognition during National Volunteer Week (Apr. 27 to May 4).
The Heather Thompson award – in honour of the longtime Community Development Halton director – pays tribute to an older volunteer who’s made an exceptional contribution to their community.
