Long-time Oakville BBQ restaurant closes forever

As the restaurant has announced its closure, former customers will undoubtedly wonder what will take its place considering the prime location

A long-standing BBQ restaurant in Oakville has permanently closed, leaving behind a large plot of real estate in a prime location.

Montana's BBQ & Bar, formerly located at 3537 Wyecroft Road, has closed for good as of last week.

The restaurant left a sign on their door that said "Our Oakville location may be closing, but don't worry, BBQ lovers! You can still get your saucy BBQ favourites at Montana's Burlington & Montana's Hyde Park."

The restaurant did not explicitly state why this location was closing or if they'd be relocating. Oakville News made multiple attempts to reach out to Recipe Unlimited, the parent company of Montana's, but has not received a response at the time of publication.

Montana's is a chain that's commonly known for their smoked ribs, steaks, burgers and fries. This particular location was located very close to a large Cineplex Cinemas, making it a convenient dining choice for moviegoers. It had a 3.0 rating on Tripadvisor with positive feedback from customers.

"Very pleasant atmosphere and service. Food tasted fresh and not greasy. I found value for the money spent," said Judi E on Tripadvisor.

"The service was friendly and efficient. We have been to this location a number of times and will continue to go there," said another user.

As the restaurant has announced its closure, former customers will undoubtedly wonder what will take its place considering the prime location.

The Montana's restaurant brand is owned by Recipe Unlimited, formerly known as Cara Restaurants.
