Major headliners take the stage at this weekend's Kerrfest

Oakville's popular end-of-summer street party Kerrfest is returning this weekend!

The Kerr Village Business Improvement Area has announced the music lineup for the 8th Annual Kerrfest, which will take place this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 6 and 7, in Westwood Park.

David Wilcox - Friday, September 6 at 9:30 p.m.

A superb entertainer. A master guitar player. A great, soulful singer. A unique songwriter. These are a few of the ways David Wilcox has been described. None of them do him justice.

Until you have seen David in concert, you have yet to experience something remarkable. Multiple gold and platinum albums and countless fans of all ages are testimony.

Olympic champions Salé and Pelletier have skated to his music, and his songs have appeared in movies like Cocktail with Tom Cruise.

Whether it’s a backyard barbeque, a TV theme (Street Legal), Carnegie Hall, the Montreux Jazz Festival with John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin – the music of David Wilcox is a blend of rock, blues, country, ragtime and other roots styles that keep evolving and growing.

Haywire - Friday, September 6 at 7:45 p.m.

Haywire burst onto the Canadian music scene with their debut full-length album “Bad Boys,” which went platinum in Canada and saw the title track #21.

One year later, they followed up with “Don’t Just Stand There,” which also went platinum and featured three tracks that cracked the Top 40.

“Black & Blue,” “Thinking About The Years,” and the Top 10 smash, “Dance Desire.” Listen to this iconic band reprise their top Canadian hits.

Teenage Head - Friday, September 6 at 6 p.m.

Teenage Head is still standing strong in 2024; after 50 years of bittersweet moments and tragic losses, Teenage Head has defied all odds and endures to bring their unmistakable sound to their diehard Fans.

Toronto Band - The Legacy Saturday, September 7 at 8 p.m.
Led by lead singer Michelle Truman and Drummer Barry Connors, the band brings their brand of rock classics to Westwood Park. The band scored a handful of hit singles in Canada during the early 1980s, including "Your Daddy Don't Know," [5] "Start Tellin' the Truth," and "Girls' Night Out." "Your Daddy Don't Know" was covered by The New Pornographers for the 2003 film soundtrack FUBAR: The Album.

Lighthouse - Saturday, September 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Canada’s Classic Band is still rockin'! Lighthouse is a Canadian rock band formed in 1969 in Toronto, Ontario, whose repertoire included elements of rock, jazz, classical music, and swing featuring horns, strings, and vibraphone. They won Juno Awards for Best Canadian Group of the Year in 1972, 1973,[2] and 1974.

They reunited in 1992 and were recently inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and the Canadian Walk of Fame; Lighthouse continues to tour and is looking forward to meeting old fans and new ones wherever they travel!! Lighthouse Rocks On!!

The Lightfoot Band - Saturday, September 7 at 4:30 p.m.

The Lightfoot Band are the original members who recorded many memorable hits and toured for decades with the late great Gordon Lightfoot. Throughout their years together, the band toured internationally with Gordon—across Canada and the United States and to cities in the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and more. Fiddlestix - Saturday, September 7 at 2:30 p.m.

Fiddlestix is Ontario's premier Fiddle Rock Show, known for its captivating energy on stage and extraordinary musicianship, featuring Steve Bowen. It is also known as alt. Country Rock, Fiddle Rock, and Celtic Rock.
