The Halton Police Services Board is pleased to announce the promotion of Superintendent Roger Wilkie to the position of Deputy Chief of Police for the Halton Regional Police Service.
After conducting a comprehensive search which considered candidates from across Canada, the successful candidate was ultimately identified from within the Halton Regional Police Service.
Deputy Chief Roger Wilkie is currently in his 22nd year with the Halton Regional Police Service. Over the course of his career, he has served in uniform patrol, criminal investigations, drug enforcement, as a District Commander, and most recently as the Commander of Human Resources, Training and the Emergency Services Unit. Deputy Chief Wilkie played a key leadership role in the development of the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan for the Region of Halton.
“The Board looks forward to working with Deputy Chief Wilkie to address the key issues of concern to our citizens and ensuring that the Region of Halton remains the safest large municipality in all of Canada,” the Chair of the Halton Police Board, Rob Burton, said.
