The Oakville museum will host a series of events over the last two months of 2024, themed to various holidays and happenings in town - ranging from the spooky to the sweet.
After this weekend's Halloween-closing pumpkin parade, the museum will play host to both new and returning Christmas activities for families and locals of all ages.
Below is a list of the six most recently announced events, all taking place at the Oakville Museum's downtown location.
Oakville Pumpkin Parade
Bring your jack-o-lanterns to the Oakville Museum for the annual pumpkin parade, story time and treats on Friday, November 1, from 4-6:30 p.m.
Winter Craft and Tour
Experience Christmas traditions of the past, take a guided tour, and make a simple old-fashioned ornament at Erchless Estate on November 29 and 30, December 27, 2024, and January 3, 2025.
Visit with Santa
Santa is coming to the Oakville Museum! On November 23, visit the Oakville Museum to write a letter to Santa, tour Erchless Estate, check out the Instrument Petting Zoo, and meet Santa himself.
Explore an exhibit
Take a break from the holiday chaos and discover the museum’s exhibits including the new exhibit Be Our Guest which explores social gatherings and the norms and etiquette surrounding them.
Museum Christmas Tour and Treat
Enjoy a glimpse into Christmases past and visit a featured historical exhibit at Erchless Estate on December 7. End your tour with a festive treat and holiday beverage.
Window Dressing
Take a stroll through the grounds of Erchless Estate, even outside of Museum opening hours, and enjoy the festive window display from November 15, 2024, until the end of January 2025.
