Oakville Christmas Break Programs for 2013/2014

Holiday Happenings

An extension of our P.A. Day Passport program, register for one day or both at Glen Abbey Community CentreStay at Home Vacationers (ages 4-5) stay on site and are visited by special guests. Day Trippers (ages 6-9) and Frequent Flyers (ages 10-12) travel off-site each day.

Drop campers off as early as 7:30 a.m. and pick them up as late as 6 p.m. all for one low price. All off-site trips and guest appearances will not start until 9 a.m. and will be finished by 4 p.m. For more information, contact Jamie Angus at 905-845-6601, ext. 3152 or [email protected].

Holiday Hockey Camp

Run out of River Oaks Community Centre, this two-day program is ideal for the new player or novice hockey star. Learn new skills and improve on others. Get 90 minutes of on-ice instruction combined with one hour of off-ice instruction and other sports for a well-rounded training experience.

Three age groups are offered: Tykes (ages 5-7), Juniors (ages 8-10), or Seniors (ages 11-13). Full hockey equipment is required. Before and after care (7-9 a.m. and 4-6 p.m.) is included.

New Year's Art Daze

Celebrate the new year at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre with these parented, half-day drop-in programs offered December 27 and 28, 2013 and January 2 and 3, 2014:

Fine Art Studio and Recreational Gym Time

This program is offered in the morning, 10 a.m.–noon. Explore drawing and painting techniques and make a masterpiece together in our Fine Art Studio. $8 per participant/per session. All materials provided. First-come, first-served.

Clay Studio and Recreational Gym Time

This program is offered in the morning, 1-3 p.m. Explore hand-building projects ranging from functional coil pots to wild and crazy creatures! The studio technician will be available for assistance and to lead basic hand building demonstrations. No wheel work during this session.

$8 per participant/per session. If you want to keep your creation, a $5 material fee applies (includes firing and glazing). Clay pieces take up to three weeks to be finished you will not take it home the day of the drop-in. First-come, first-served.

Winter Break Craft and Tour at Oakville Museum

Join us for an hour in the afternoon to make a craft with your child and take a guided tour of the Oakville Museum! All participating children must be pre-registered and accompanied by an adult. Visit the Oakville Museum Programs and Events page for more information.
