The Oakville Crusaders Rugby Club has received $120,400 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in order to begin renovations to their clubhouse during the winter of 2025.
Earlier this year, the club was able to upgrade its water system in their clubhouse to make it drinkable, and they have connected their facilities to the municipal water supply allowing them to irrigate all of their fields.
The club is also performing thorough work on their septic system which has been giving the organization some difficulties and they will continue these renovations into 2025.
The Crusaders will take on a new project as they will be renovating the interior of their clubhouse, starting later this month, December 2024.
The renovations will be as follows:
- Reconfiguration of the men's toilets and showers so that the shower area can be accessible to both genders
- The instillation of private, locking shower stalls allowing both men/boys and woman/girls to have access to the clubhouse showers
- New floors on the second floor of the clubhouse
- Resurfacing the downstairs floors
- Replacing all of the furniture on the second level of the clubhouse
- Installing new cabinets and sinks in the food and bar area's
The Club would like to thank the Ontario Trillium Foundation and also MPP Stephen Crawford for their ongoing support of the team.
