For over 23 years, the Oakville Professional Firefighters Association has helped make a difference through the collection and distribution of toy donations.
“The annual Oakville Firefighters Toy Drive helps us bring smiles to the faces of young people who would otherwise go without a gift,” said Clara Costa of The Halton Children’s Aid Society. “Oakville has so many generous residents – we know they will come through for the young people in our community yet again this year.”
All donations are distributed to local families and agencies including:
- Kerr Street Mission
- Oakville Parent-Child Centre
- Fareshare Foodbank
- Halton Children's Aid Society
- The Salvation Army
- Halton Women's Place
- Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Halton
All donations of new, unwrapped toys are greatly appreciated. Gift cards for all major retailers are also welcome.
We have a strong need for gifts for infants and adolescents aged 12 and up, based on shortages for these age categories in previous years.
Some ideas for the older ages are:
Sports equipment, Electronics, Headphones, Posters, Calendars, Journals, School Supplies, Backpacks, Clothing, Winter Hats and Gloves, Jewelry, Hair Accessories, Nail Polish, Makeup, Blankets, Shower Products, Movies

Community groups and corporations are encouraged to spread the holiday cheer by organizing their own toy drives or donations to support the Oakville Firefighters Toy Drive.
They can arrange to attend your event and collect the donations.
