TORONTO – Lonnie Elsayed of Oakville has $77,769.40 to put toward her dreams after winning a LOTTO MAX second prize in the Jan. 7, 2025 draw.
Lonnie, a mother of two and grandmother of four, is a weekly lottery player with OLG. She picks up her LOTTO MAX tickets twice a week, using OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make her selections. While she has enjoyed some modest wins in the past, nothing could have prepared her for the thrill of her first big win!
“I was checking my ticket at the store when I found out I’d won. I was excited, stunned, and overwhelmed with happiness, all at the same time,” Lonnie recalled, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim her winnings. “I told my husband the news, and he was sure I was joking,” she chuckled.
“Winning this prize was a little bit shocking! It definitely got my heart pumping,” Lonnie said with a smile. “It’s unbelievable!”
“I’ll be sharing this win with my kids and will take a nice vacation with my husband,” Lonnie concluded.
LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $9 billion since 2009, including 113 jackpot wins and 937 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The winning ticket was purchased at Rabba Fine Foods on Marlborough Court in Oakville.
