An Oakville woman has received some life changing news, and after four months of waiting, she finally gets to tell the world: she's won $2.5 million dollars from a lottery jackpot.
Maureen McDaid of Oakville can "find her possible" (according to a press release) after winning $2.5 million in the LOTTO 6/49 Classic Jackpot on Sept. 28, 2024. Her ticket was one of two that split the $5 million jackpot.
The winning ticket was purchased at a Shoppers Drug Mart on Rexdale Boulevard in Etobicoke back in September.
OLG says that "LOTTO 6/49 offers players a chance to win two multi-million dollar jackpots every Wednesday and Saturday, for the same $3 per play."
The Classic Draw offers a fixed $5 million jackpot for every draw, while the Gold Ball Draw guarantees a $1 million prize, or the growing jackpot that starts at $10 million and can exceed $60 million. Click here for more information about the new LOTTO 6/49.
