After playing a Keno Pick 10 lottery game last summer, Oakville man Stevo Grkinic has now claimed his $50,000 prize.
Grkinic won $50,000 win in the June 27, 2023 evening draw last year. Stevo, 68, says he doesn't play the lottery often and this is his biggest win.
"I usually play Proline but I like to switch it up sometimes. I was shocked when I brought my ticket to the retailer and saw I won big," he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
Stevo, who works as a machine operator, says he shared the news about his win with his wife and two sons right away.
"They're happy for me," he smiled. "It feels good!"
Grkinic's winning ticket was purchased at Kitchen Food Fair on Westoak Trails Boulevard in Oakville. He says he plans to put his windfall in the bank for now.
