The town of Oakville is inviting residents to a Public Information Centre (PIC) at Town Hall this Thursday, March 27, 2025, to discuss potential solutions for transportation, stormwater management, and urban design in Midtown Oakville.

According to the town, the event is part of its Midtown Implementation Program, which follows the adoption of the Midtown Oakville Official Plan Amendment (OPA). The program includes infrastructure master planning studies for transportation and stormwater, with the goal of creating a vibrant, livable, and mixed-use community with sustainable infrastructure systems.

The town stated that the event will include a presentation outlining the alternative solutions under consideration. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback, and engage with town planners through interactive activities. A recording of the presentation will be posted online following the meeting.

The PIC will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the South Atrium of Oakville Town Hall, located at 1225 Trafalgar Road. Doors will open at 6 p.m. More details are available at oakville.ca/midtown.

The town noted that the transportation and stormwater studies are being conducted under the first two phases of the master plan process, as outlined in the 2023 Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. These studies will form the foundation for future, more detailed investigations under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.

This will be the second Public Information Centre for Midtown Oakville’s infrastructure planning, following an initial session held on October 25, 2023. The town added that discussions on urban design at this event will help shape updated guidelines for Midtown Oakville’s development.
