Oakville Transit will continue its public consultation for the development of its five-year business plan, with a focus on improving services for its riders.
Building on the insights from the initial consultation, town staff have been conducting ongoing research, engaging with stakeholders and aligning this effort with work underway on the town’s ongoing Transportation Master Plan study. Town staff would like to share the work completed to date that will help form the foundation of Oakville Transit’s five-year Business Plan, such as:
- What is driving the need for a new business plan
- The framework, components and benefits of the plan
- How staff are building a transit service network to meet the needs of all customers to get to school, work and leisure activities
- A new, more direct route network, including new on-demand and base routes in growing communities
Residents and riders are encouraged to participate in Transit Talk drop-in events on April 10 and 11.
