POLL: Readers roughly split on Canada Post strike

Readers are split 60:40 on the Canada Post strike, with 60 per cent favouring the company and 40 per cent favouring the union, an online poll showed this week

Readers are split 60:40 on the Canada Post strike, with 60 per cent favouring the company and 40 per cent favouring the union, an online poll showed this week. 

Contract talks between the post office and the union have been going on for more than a year.

Canada Post is on track to lose close to a billion dollars in 2024. Among the issues: the company's proposal to hire part-time workers for weekend parcel delivery, and move new hires to a defined-contribution pension plan. 

Men were somewhat more inclined to side with Canada Post:
