The seminars and expert panels offered as a free community service to seniors and their families continues through 2025. Launched in June 2023, the series has welcomed 100s of area seniors monthly. They have gained valuable and honest information regarding topics that are important to senior living and retired people. Attendees leave each event with the ability to make informed decisions, and meet experts who provide reliable and current information.

At each session, Speaker Series Educational Partners are also available to share information about the services they offer. In an era where information is easily accessible online it's often difficult to discern who you can trust, particularly for seniors. The Educational Partners all excel at working with older adults and placing their clients needs above their own.

Over the past year and a half a variety of topics have been addressed, from The Silent Worry and Being Prepared Financially for Aging and The Top 10 Topics to Discuss with Your Family to Top Tips and Tricky Traps of Estate Planning.

Attendees regularly comment on the value of the sessions. "My friends and I have all learned things we were unaware of and we are all very much enjoying these sessions to date"  and "this is and will continue to be one of the best series I attend."

A strong lineup of presenters and topics are on the agenda for 2025, starting on Jan. 8, with Caring for the Aging Mind - How to Prioritize Wellness in Later Life, presented by psychotherapist Kirsten Davidson, along with Adrianna Zabel, both with Peachey Consulting. February will have representatives from Ontario Health atHome share information about the community services provided, how to access them and how patient care needs are assessed, followed in March by Why Your Adult Children Should Plan for Their Longevity by Neela White, Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA) and a Senior Portfolio Manager with the Blue Wing Advisory Group, Raymond James.

The Series is facilitated by Marion Goard, Broker at Keller Williams Edge Realty. Marion is also a Lifestyle 55+ Master and Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) specializing in helping Seniors' and their families through every stage of later-in-life real estate transitions. Through initiatives such as 100 Women Who Care Burlington, Keller Williams RED Day, the Junior League of Hamilton-Burlington and others, she has brought her caring and compassionate personality to community service. Marion is focussed on protecting the interests of seniors while developing meaningful relationships with everyone she serves.
