A late-night fire at a building unit in Oakville is under investigation after Halton Police deemed it suspicious.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene at 1425 Cornwall Rd. at approximately 1:14 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024. Police say that the Oakville Fire Department extinguished the flames, and no injuries were reported.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered a broken window in the affected unit, raising concerns about the fire’s origin.

This case, while coincidentally on Cornwall Road, is unrelated to another fire investigation that took place earlier this week involving the HVAC units in a shopping plaza.
