Another year, another cause for celebration.

For a third straight year, Conservation Halton finds itself among Hamilton-Niagara’s Top Employers – recognized for creating an exceptional place to work.

That’s according to the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.

CH’s maternity/parental leave benefits, vacation time and free employee access to all area parks were listed as the contributing factors toward the continued distinction.

The award – said CH President and CEO Chandra Sharma – reflects the positive and collaborative environment created by the organization. This in turn, she added, has helped attract a staff and leadership team that’s both capable and creative.

“Our staff are some of the best in the industry,” said Sharma. “I’m proud of our amazing team that is focused and dedicated to preserving and protecting our green spaces, and providing access to nature for our communities.”

Employers were evaluated in 10 categories, including work atmosphere and communications, health, financial and family benefits, training and development and community involvement.

In particular, CH was recognized for embracing new staff ideas through its innovation hub.

Said CH human resources director Plezzie Ramirez, “To be recognized again as a top employer is very meaningful, Every day we strive to ensure employee experiences are positive and that all staff know that their wellness is a top priority.”
