Halton Police say they are investigating an attempted vehicle theft that occurred in an Oakville residential area last Friday.
According to police, the incident took place at around 7:25 a.m. on Jan. 31, 2025 near Pinegrove Road and Ulric Crescent.
A resident told police they heard a car alarm and went outside, where they saw two suspects fleeing the scene in a white sedan.
Police say the suspects had smashed the rear window of a Toyota SUV and cut through the steering wheel in an attempt to remove the vehicle’s steering wheel lock.
No arrests have been made, police said.
