Oakville will commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Sept. 30, 2024, with opportunities for residents to learn about Indigenous history and culture.

While many town facilities like community centres and arenas will remain open, services such as Town Hall and public libraries will be closed.

Open Sept. 30, 2024:

  • Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts
  • Community centres
  • Indoor pools
  • Arenas
  • Seniors' centres
  • Harbour offices
  • Fuel dock at Bronte Outer Harbour

Closed Sept. 30, 2024:

  • Town Hall
  • Oakville Museum
  • All libraries 
  • Cemetery offices
  • Municipal parking lot at 300 Church Street 

Oakville Transit will offer a modified service schedule operating from 6 a.m. to midnight on Monday, September 30, 2024. 

The modified service is based on a Saturday service level, with additional routes operating. School specials will run as usual.
