Two Oakville Tim Hortons temporarily closing; re-opening schedule unclear

When reached for comment, Tim Hortons declined to provide insight into the closures.

Two Tim Hortons locations in Oakville have recently closed their doors, with one building saying they're going through renovations while the other closure's reasoning remains unclear.

The first closure, located at 228 Wyecroft Road, is attributed to renovations. A banner displayed on-site, labelled "Something is Brewing," indicates that the closure is temporary, however, the banner does not appear to be localized as it says the closure is from Nov. 26 - Dec. 23 and asks customers to visit a location in Welland, Ontario.

"We hope to see you for our Grand Re-Opening!" says the sign.

The second location at 587 Third Line is closed with only a simple "closed" message on the window and fences around the premises, no clear indication of renovation or the reopening timeline is provided.

When reached for comment, Tim Hortons declined to provide insight into the closures, stating they "do not have such information available."

Both locations have high ratings on Google. 228 Wyecroft Road has over 1,100 reviews with one customer referring to it as "An incredible venue for meetings, socializing, and studying!"

587 Third Line also has high ratings with one customer saying, "One of the best tim horton [sic] i have ever been to!!"

Says another customer, "This is the only 24 hour dine-in coffee shop in Oakville and I always feel at home here because of the awesome respectful staff."
