United Way Halton and Hamilton have announced their 2024-2025 appointments of the 2024-2025 Campaign Cabinet Chair, Claude DeMone and returning Major Giving Cabinet Chair, Trent Ogilvie.

After a historic fundraising campaign season, raising $12.5 million for the community, United Way Halton and Hamilton is looking forward to beginning a new stage in efforts to grow the network of social support for their community.

Claude DeMone will be the 2024-2025 Campaign Cabinet Chair, following the 2023-2024 Campaign Cabinet Chair, Matt Wickham.

DeMone is a long-time United Way supporter and served as a Campaign Cabinet volunteer this past year. DeMone also co-chaired RBC's Employee Giving Campaign across Canada in 2021 and 2022.

“I’m very grateful to Matt for his exceptional leadership and dedication to the Campaign Cabinet during last year's campaign. His guidance has set a strong foundation, and I’m eager to build on the momentum he has created,” says DeMone.

“As we look ahead, I recognize the significant work that lies ahead of us. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and work closely with our dedicated volunteers on the Campaign Cabinets and Committees to continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families in Halton and Hamilton.”

United Way also shared that the Major Giving Cabinet will continue its work in the community with the leadership of Trent Ogilvie in the 2024-25 campaign season.

As Chair of the Major Giving Cabinet, Ogilvie has been instrumental in rallying community members to support the inaugural Local Love Community Match initiative.

"I am incredibly proud of the work done by the 2023-2024 Major Giving Cabinet. Together, we successfully rallied philanthropists in the community to help increase support to the vital programs helping our community," says Ogilvie.

"With the support of the Major Giving Cabinet, we will continue to delve deeper to ensure no one in our community is left behind."
