NEWS RELEASE

************************
We wanted to provide an important update on GO Transit and UP Express services during the winter storm. GO Transit and UP Express continue to operate on regular schedules today.

With significant snow expected over night, we will run on a special schedule tomorrow, February 13, to ensure we can maintain reliable service while keeping our trains clear of snow and ice build-up. This means that some GO Train trips will be cancelled or modified tomorrow.

For those taking the Lakeshore West Line, express trains will now make stops at all stations. Train trips starting and ending at Oakville will be suspended, but customers are able to take an all-stop train from this station instead.

Train trips to and from Niagara will be impacted with bus options available to these customers. Additionally, there will be two additional late evening trips (one westbound and one eastbound).

Customers are encouraged to visit our website to view the modified trip times, or sign up for On the GO alerts, to plan ahead before travelling.

We recommend that customers take extra time to get where they’re going. Customers are also encouraged to take extra care while travelling as train and bus platforms, parking structures, stairwells and tunnels may become slippery. Wherever possible, customers should listen for station announcements and ask station staff for assistance when needed.

We will continue to provide updates on our website at GOtransit.com. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
