On Friday afternoon, Hockey Canada announced their roster for the upcoming Woman's World Championship that will be taking place in Czechia.
Canada will be looking to defend their gold medal after defeating the USA in a thrilling 6-5 overtime game last tournament.
Oakville will have four players represented on team Canada for this tournament and each player will make a significant impact on this team.
Brianne Jenner, Centre (Ottawa Charge, PWHL)
Jenner is one of the more experienced members on this powerhouse Canadian team as this World Championship will be her 11th tournament.
She has a long history playing with Team Canada at major tournaments as she has won two Olympic Gold Medals with the team and four World Championship titles.
The Oakville veteran will be looked at as one of the big leaders on this team as Canada tries to win back-to-back titles.
Jenner currently plays for the Ottawa Charge of the PWHL where she has scored four goals and seven assists for 11 points in 22 games.

Sarah Fillier, Left Wing (New York Sirens, PWHL)
Hailing from Georgetown, Fillier spent her prime developing years with the Oakville Hornets and captained the team in her final year with the organization.
Fillier helped the Hornets achieve several accomplishments including a league championship.
She once again joins the Canadian National team after multiple World Championships and one Olympic games with hopes of helping bring another trophy back to Canada.
Fillier is no stranger to success when wearing the Maple Leaf. In the 2022 Winter Olympics she recorded eight goals and three assists for a total of 11 points to help Canada win a Gold Medal.
Then next year at the 2023 World Championships, Fillier scored seven goals and four assists in seven games and took home the tournament MVP.
She will once again be counted on by the Canadian team to make a difference in this tournament.
Fillier currently has 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points with the New York Sirens and is second in the entire league in scoring behind Boston's Hillary Knight.

Emma Maltais, Left Wing (Toronto Scepters, PWHL)
Originally from Burlington, Maltais spent many of her minor hockey years with the Oakville Hornets and was teammates with Sarah Fillier when the two were teenagers.
Maltais in fact captained Oakville in the 2016-17 season and scored 56 points for the Hornets.
Just like the previous players mentioned, Maltais has been no stranger to playing for Team Canada over the past five years.
She has been on the Canadian National Team for the past four World Championships and also helped Canada win a Gold Medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
She also five seasons with the Ohio State Buckeyes of the NCAA.
Her international and college success led her to be drafted by the Toronto Sceptres of the PWHL where she played since the 2023-24 season.
Maltais has seven points in 24 games for Toronto this season.
Kristin O'Neill, Centre (Montreal Victoire, PWHL)
Born and raised in Oakville, O'Neill will be another veteran presence on this Canadian National Team.
She will be competing in her fifth World Championship and looking to secure her fourth Gold Medal at this tournament.
The Montreal Victoire forward scored four goals and five assists last season for nine total points in 24 regular season games a year ago and also added two goals in three playoff games.
This season she has one goal and three assists for four points in 24 games.
All four players will be leaned on heavily as Canada tries to win back-to-back gold Medals.
