The pool at Oakville's Glen Abbey Recreation Centre is being temporarily closed today, August 8, 2024, due to unspecified "emergency maintenance" that needs to be done.
Town staff sent a news release out late this morning saying the maintenance was required, but not disclosing what repairs were needed.
"Due to emergency maintenance, Glen Abbey Pool will be closed from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 8," said the town.
Due to the work, today's 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Healing Waters and 12 to 1:30 p.m. Length Swim programs were been cancelled.
Oakville has online Recreational Swimming and Waterfit schedules for programs at other locations.
The town says, "thank you for your understanding and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience."
