Oakville's outdoor Falgarwood Pool has closed for the season earlier than expected due to a malfunctioning heater that cannot be repaired or replaced in time.
The pool's temperature has dropped to 71 degrees, making it unsuitable for use, especially with cooler overnight temperatures. Originally scheduled to close next week on Sept. 2, the pool ceased operations last Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024.
All rentals and programs have either been moved to White Oaks Pool or cancelled. Customers and rental clients have been notified.
The town says they "look forward to reopening Falgarwood Pool next season."
