Oakville's own Michael Misa became the first player to score 20 goals in the OHL this season with his hat trick this past weekend.

Misa's three goal performance last Saturday, Nov. 9 were his 19th, 20th, and 21st goals of the season.

With another goal on Sunday, Misa's total now comes to 22 which is six goals more than the second place player. Misa is also leading the OHL in overall points with 35.

This scoring outbreak could not have come at a better time for Misa with this season being his draft year. At the beginning of the season, Misa was projected to be a top 10 pick but draft analyzers were not sure if he could challenge for the number one overall pick.

But that has changed this season.

Misa's performance this year has put him on many teams radar's, including Team Canada's World Junior team.

If he's able to make the Canadian roster for the December tournament as a 17 year old, he will join the likes of Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby as players to achieve this feat.
