Let the renovations begin: Iroquois Ridge Community Centre pool has officially closed its doors, marking the begining to at least six months of facility renovations and construction.
The project began today, Jan. 2, 2025, and construction on the pool area is estimated to be finished by July 2025 - though no re-opening date has yet been announced by town staff.
These planned improvements, according to town staff, "emphasize the town's commitment to having accessible and high-quality facilities the meet every need of their customers and patrons."
Work at Iroquois Ridge was first reported by Oakville News almost a year ago, back in January 2024, though a timeline for work wasn't set until last October.

For those looking for another place to swim during the closure, town recreation staff say other pools throughout Oakville will be adding more swims to help accommodate for the closure of Iroquois Ridge's pool.
Pools like White Oaks and Oakville Trafalgar Cultural Community Centre will be adding more length swims to help customers of Iroquois Ridge.
